T.T will now be available at Why are you here?
Starting with the 2027SS collection, we plan to offer men's and women's items at our Midosuji store.
T.T
T.T is a brand based in New York and Kyoto. The brand's concept is "To excavate the archaeology of the future by reviving things from the past".
The founder, Taiga Takahashi, has collected thousands of garments since his teens, most of which are American vintage from the 1920s to 1950s, primarily before mass production. "Perhaps the true value of craftsmanship already exists within history" — with this idea, he has archaeologically studied fabrics, sewing, and details that have survived the test of time, and has repeatedly given them new interpretations to revive them in the modern era.
Viewing clothing as fossils or time capsules, T.T aims to create "timeless clothing" that can remain for another 100 years into the future, using natural materials and Japan's disappearing traditional weaving, dyeing, and sewing techniques. T.T's craftsmanship is deeply imbued with the skills of Japan's proud artisans. By utilizing natural dyeing techniques that have continued for over 1,000 years and a few remaining vintage power looms, and through repeated dialogue with the artisans who inherit these skills, the brand pursues the essence of craftsmanship.
In the women's collection launched in June 2026, this practice is expanded worldwide. The "archetypes of clothing" that have repeatedly emerged in each land and culture are excavated and brought into the modern era. The universality that transcends cultures and the unchanging values that pierce through time are imbued into each and every garment.
From a hundred years ago to a hundred years into the future. The brand calls back disappearing textile and handcraft techniques and elevates them into the form of clothing. By contemplating the value inherent in the time layered upon the fabric, it reverses the applied archaeology that has excavated the past. Now, it is weaving clothing that is excavated from the future. Materials are not merely raw materials, but existences in which the local climate and history of the land, the wisdom of people, and the accumulation of handcraft are condensed into every single fiber. By personally visiting production areas around the world and engaging in repeated dialogue with producers and artisans, while staying close to their work, the brand explores and develops materials that should be passed on to the future.
Furthermore, in Kyoto's Gion, there exists "T.T", a comprehensive art space that fuses clothing, architecture, tea rooms, and sculpture, serving as a place that embodies the brand's aesthetics and philosophy.

↑Opening on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, is "T.T Gosho-Minami", a new base handling T.T WOMEN. Following the comprehensive art space "T.T Gion", it will be the second base in Kyoto. Near Kyoto Imperial Palace, in a Kyoto townhouse that has marked approximately 150 years of time, clothing serves as the starting point, bringing architecture, gardens, tea, crafts, and art together under one roof. The "Zenbi Gosho-Minami" standing tea room is also attached. In the tea ceremony, items of different origins are brought together in a single gathering, creating new relationships. T.T Gosho-Minami is a place that has transferred this way of thinking into space. While leaving the remnants of life remaining in the pillars of the townhouse and the scenery created by the passage of time as they are, modern sensibilities are layered upon them, and they are passed on to the next generation.
About Founder Taiga Takahashi
Designer Taiga Takahashi was born in 1995 and raised in Kobe, before moving to the UK in 2010 to attend the London College of Contemporary Art. After that, he entered the BA Women's Wear program at Central Saint Martins in 2013 and graduated from the school in 2017. In the same year, he founded the brand bearing his own name, "TAIGA TAKAHASHI", in New York.
From the 2021 fall/winter season, he adopted the philosophy of "excavating the archaeology of the future by reviving relics of the past", shifting the brand's focus primarily to men's wear. Under the idea that "clothing is a device for tracing memories", he pursued creation from an archaeological perspective.
However, Takahashi passed away on April 9, 2022, at the young age of 27 due to a fatal arrhythmia.
"TAIGA TAKAHASHI" has been carried on as Taiga Takahashi's name when active as a contemporary artist, while "T.T" has been carried on as a platform for the production and presentation of clothing.
2027SS Collection
The theme of the 2027 spring/summer collection is "Lines". It is inspired by the works of photographer Aaron Siskind, who was active in the 1940s and 1950s, abstractly capturing lines and textures hidden in the city, such as cracks in walls, peeling posters, and traces on the road. Taking his visual language as a source of inspiration, the aesthetics of abstraction and materiality are applied throughout the collection.
Based on the brand's ongoing vintage research, the collection fuses carefully selected natural materials with traditional craftsmanship. Through three-dimensional pattern work, unique silhouettes, and textures that utilize the feel of the materials, it proposes a wardrobe imbued with the quiet presence characteristic of 〈T.T〉.
