UNDERCOVER
Started by designer Jun Takahashi in 1990, Undercover embodies the quintessence of Japanese cool. Designs are based on the idea of creating something that seems to be exist but not, it strongly reflects the rebellion towards fashion trend. Operating under the maxim “We Make Noise Not Clothes,” Undercover uses an unexpected and contradictory combination of essence to dissolve the binaries between high and low, avant-garde and utilitarian, and macabre and beautiful. With a diverse and alluring oeuvre, Undercover generates a coherently unique world vision, one which Takahashi continues to expand upon one collection at a time.
