This postcard set features "THE AFTERMATH DISLOCATION PRINCIPLE (ADP)," a vast 1:87 scale miniature model that Jimmy completed in 2013 and has been working on for many years.
The items will be on sale at the Jimmy Cauty art exhibition "THE RISE AND FALL OF TOWERBLOCK1 -OSAKA-," which opens on Saturday, August 23rd.
THE AFTERMATH DISLOCATION PRINCIPLE (ADP)
In 2013, Jimmy completed his long-in-the-making THE AFTERMATH DISLOCATION PRINCIPLE (ADP), a vast 1:87 scale miniature model of a world after riots: looted, vandalized, burned... and devoid of life except for 3,000 police officers witnessing an apocalyptic event.
In 2015, the year after it was exhibited at Banksy's Dismaland, it was placed in a shipping container with a window and set off on a pilgrimage to over 35 historic riot sites in the UK. This was the ADP Riot Tour. The ADP was seen by over one million people, and a photo of a police officer peering at it went viral around the world, giving the tour meaning. The tour continues to visit historic riot sites around the world.
