Bale Leather Cocoon Bomber in Calfskin

A reinterpretation of the MA-1 bomber with a cocoon silhouette. The jacket is constructed from calfskin treated through a controlled drawing process—a form of mechanical manipulation that stretches and compresses localized areas of the hide to create an irregular surface topography. This technique introduces intentional wrinkling and textural variation that mimic naturally aged leather without compromising the hide’s fiber structure or durability. The result is an authentic worn-in appearance achieved through surface treatment rather than chemical breakdown.

The voluminous silhouette is engineered through dropped shoulder seams positioned toward the rear of the shoulder rather than at the natural shoulder point. This construction shifts the visual weight rearward, creating a streamlined front profile while allowing additional volume to drape from the shoulders. The cocoon shape envelops the upper body with structured volume—roomiest through the chest and sleeves before tapering at the ribbed hem.

This product is made using cowhide for the outer leather.
To preserve the unique character of each individual hide as much as possible, this cowhide is finished with a natural texture that retains the original appearance of the leather without excessive processing.
Consequently, there may be individual differences in grain and texture depending on the part of the hide used, and you may notice blood veins or small scratches. Please understand in advance that these are characteristic of natural leather and are a feature of this product.
Furthermore, this leather is not treated with common embossed wrinkle processing; instead, during the finishing stage, each piece of leather is clamped at both ends by machine to create wrinkles for every individual hide.
Subsequently, before production, these wrinkles are smoothed out at the factory before the final product is crafted. Therefore, it is impossible to completely avoid small wrinkles or marks.
Additionally, wrinkles may appear in unexpected areas during the course of wear. This occurs because the wrinkles that were once smoothed out re-emerge on the surface due to movement and pressure during wear.
Please understand that none of these are product defects, but rather the result of natural leather properties and the specific manufacturing method used for this product, and handle the item accordingly.
