A blouson inspired by 1970s flight jackets. It is crafted from a Sumi-dyed linen washer blend using traditional Japanese ink-dyeing techniques, which create delicate color gradations and an organic, uneven texture. The material softens and breaks in with wear, and due to variations in dye absorption and fiber structure, every piece offers a unique look.
The design features three-dimensional pockets constructed through panel splicing and precise seam placement. Rather than being attached as separate units, the pockets are built outward from the body using curved pattern pieces. While designed with a balloon-like volume, they are engineered to integrate naturally into the overall structure of the garment. This construction allows the blouson to move with the body while maintaining the pockets' shape and storage capacity.
The garment features expandable RiRi zippers: two on each sleeve and one on the chest pocket.
