A reinterpretation of the MA-1 jacket, this piece features a draped cocoon silhouette. It uses "Linen Viera," an original material developed in collaboration with local artisans specializing in traditional Japanese weaving techniques. The linen fibers are hand-rubbed and processed without chemical treatment, creating a density reminiscent of wool and a unique tactile feel. While achieving a natural, soft texture similar to cashmere, it also offers excellent breathability and heat retention.
The voluminous silhouette is constructed with dropped shoulders positioned along the back shoulder line, rather than the usual shoulder position. By shifting the visual center of gravity towards the back, the front has a clean impression, while excess fabric naturally drapes from the shoulders downwards. The cocoon silhouette boasts a constructive volume that envelops the upper body, with ample room in the chest and sleeves, tapering to a ribbed hem to form a three-dimensional shape.
