This piece reinterprets the military M-65 field jacket, maintaining its boxy silhouette while incorporating a flap structure that allows for expanded storage. Uniquely designed panels expand three-dimensionally outwards as needed, securing storage capacity and range of motion. When closed, the panels sit flat, creating a clean silhouette that reduces the visual volume of the garment as a whole.
Made from a high-density worsted fabric, its diagonal twill weave provides natural crispness and shape retention. The high yarn density and compact weave create a substantial weight and sharp drape, allowing for structured lines and beautifully pressed edges without the need for interlining.
Tailoring details include reinforced shoulder seams that subtly add dimension to the shoulder line. Large action pleats are also placed on the back shoulder and underarms. While sitting flat during normal wear, these pleats expand with body movement to ensure mobility, allowing comfortable movement without compromising the jacket's original boxy silhouette.
